As a team of two, we formulated a proposal for Macomb Township to redirect urbanization from its continuous sprawl and rapid growth. Our design strategy focuses on answering the question: How can rebuilding the ecosystem redirect urbanization? The design strategy contains several layers of intervention to provide environmental and economic support. 01. Wetland restoration and conservation easement for environmental healing. 02. Incentives by low-impact development and green infrastructure for property owners. 03. Net-neutral development to assist in conservation and reduce single family zones. 04. New SD1 Zoning to improve underutilized, and exisiting artificial grounds.
