“Cement Zoo”

What if instead of going to the zoo to learn about animals, you could go to the zoo to learn about the production of cement? Located on the site of the Sibley Quarry, the Cement Zoo invites its visitors to learn about the various stages of cement production while absorbing the magnitude and scale of this formerly active limestone quarry. With climate change as a silent, but ever present backdrop, the Cement Zoo serves as a viewing platform upon which its visitors can engage with a material that has been integral in the construction of modern society while simultaneously appreciating the costs of it’s continued use.
