Inspired by swarm intelligence from nature, this project explores how systematic behavior can be achieved by embedding rules into the geometry of a series of identical components. Utilizing double-side surfacing with the CNC router, complex vertical stacking was made possible with the help of gravity, and therefore, horizontal relationships could be formulated. This project was envisioned to be a part of a shading/room-dividing system managed by robots.
