The cinema experience is defined by immersions in illusion and a tension between chaos and order. Using projective illusion and catering to our unconscious desires for chaos, film plunges us into a stimulating dis-order that persuades us into believing in the reality of the fictional worlds shown. With these conceptual underpinings in mind, this projects presents a deliberate disorientation of circulation, programming, and sensory cues to create an experience that materializes this chaos-order tension. The visual, auditory, and olfactory senses are intentionally deceived, as the smells, sounds, and light leaks between the natural environment and the cinema merge into a single shared space.
